As a Quality Engineer for Technically Approved Materials, you will work with quality assurance of systems and components within track, electrical, and signaling that are procured and used in the Swedish Transport Administration's railway infrastructure. The role has a clear focus on developing and ensuring quality work from a lifecycle perspective, from requirement specification and procurement to follow-up over time.
The work is linked to the Swedish Transport Administration's development process Lifecycle Management of Systems and Components, where several ongoing development projects are conducted. You contribute to strengthening the Transport Administration's ability to quality assure procured systems and components, as well as to the development of processes and methods that ensure a robust and reliable infrastructure facility.
The role involves leading and coordinating quality work related to technically approved materials within the ongoing development and management work of the Transport Administration. The work is carried out in close collaboration with internal operations and external suppliers, focusing on structured methods and long-term quality assurance.
Your tasks include, among others:
- Leading the work of developing FMECA and quality control plans within ongoing development projects
- Coordinating daily quality work with the Transport Administration's suppliers
- Establishing, following up, and further developing quality plans, governing documentation, and routines
- Driving deviation and change management, as well as leading corrective and preventive actions
- Conducting quality follow-ups, analyses, and statistical monitoring
- Developing and implementing control plans and sampling plans for procured materials
- Supporting the specification of supplier quality in new projects
- Contributing to the development and improvement of methods and processes within the quality area
- Ensuring knowledge transfer to the Transport Administration's employees
- Supporting other units within the department as needed, within the framework of the assignment's workload
Mandatory requirements
All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree with a focus on quality and logistics, or other equivalent education in quality and logistics. Alternatively, another technical degree in e.g., materials, mechanics, manufacturing, chemical engineering, or construction, which together with relevant work experience in quality and logistics is deemed equivalent by the Transport Administration.
- At least 5 years of documented and practical experience in systematic quality work, including the application of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or other management systems deemed relevant for the assignment. The experience must include documented use of quality tools such as control plans, FMECA, SPC, quality troubleshooting, PPAP (product approval), and MSA (measurement systems analysis), applied in at least 10 different assignments/activities/projects/settings.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Assignment information
The assignment starts as soon as the contract has come into effect for up to one (1) year.
Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional one (1) year + one (1) year + one (1) year + one (1) year.
Scope: Estimated workload for the assignment is 100% of an annual working time of 1,700 hours.
The location for the resource consultant is Luleå. This assignment requires physical presence at the Transport Administration's office at least 1 day a week.
